<steps to apply gel nails>
Here we introduce basic methods of using gels.
During use, be careful of open gel containers, as gels will harden under fluorescent light.

![]() Begin gel application after you finish with the hand disinfection and nail preparation (shape the length of your nails, and push back cuticles when preparing for gel nails) process. |
![]() First, dampen fingertips with water spray. Use a cuticle care stone to push back and smooth unruly cuticles and file rough edges. Rub stone around base of nail bed to remove excess skin and debris. Wipe clean with dust remover. |
![]() Apply protective base coat only to the middle of the nail plate, and let dry. |
![]() With the sponge file blue, randomly file the area where protective base coat was applied to create a rough surface, and wipe clean with dust remover. |
![]() Apply primer only to the middle of the nail plate, over the area where protective base coat was applied. |
![]() Using the gel brush, apply clear base gel to the free edge working towards the cuticle, and then over the entire nail. Be sure the entire nail plate gets evenly covered. Check the cuticle and sidewall lines to be certain that no gel is touching the skin, and if so, remove it with an orangewood stick. |
![]() Place the nails under UV light for a full 3 minutes to completely cure the gel. |
![]() For finishing, apply a coat of clear top gel. Apply to nails in the same manner as the clear base gel. Before curing check surfaces for traces of brush lines, and place under the UV light for 3 minutes. |
![]() Soak cotton balls or nail cleansing sponge with gel cleanser to gently remove the sticky uncured layer off nails. |
![]() After gel cleanser has dried, inspect nails to make sure that gel is completely cured. For final finishing, apply cuticle oil. |
<steps to remove gel nails>
![]() First, using a coarse nail file (100-150 grit), thin out the entire nail and continue filing the gel until the surface is chalky white. (Do not file it down to the nail plate.) |
![]() Soak cotton balls in gel remover and place them over each of your nails. |
![]() Wrap aluminum foil over the ends of each fingertip with soaked cotton balls and seal individually, to prevent evaporation of the gel remover, and also to allow the remover to penetrate the gel. Leave for about 15 minutes. |
![]() Gels should now be soft and able to be removed gently from your nails using an orange stick (also known as a cuticle stick). If the gels give resistance do not force. Instead, continue the gel remover-aluminum foil process until gels are easily removed from your nails. |
![]() Wipe nail surface with any commercial nail enamel remover. Fix any ridges remaining with our shiny buffer that smoothes out rough surfaces. |
![]() After gels have been cleanly removed, apply 'eternal cuticle care oil' to condition the skin and moisturize cuticles. |
<how to use color gels>
Always apply color gels after applying a coat of clear base gel and before clear top gel applications. Glitters and pigments may settle to the bottom of the container.
When using, stir in a figure 8 motion with an orange stick. Carefully read backside of product before using as the gels curing time varies from color to color.
